æSeries

Since 2013, antipodes café explores around the idea of unveiling as Public, specific moments in the encounter of the city and its construction sites.

A homonym series of singular, temporary and site specific comments presented as interventions, that can be differentiated into two main groups: Venues and Situations.

Venues and situations are independent one from another, but all of them also explore in the redefinition of the café through its antipodes (ephemeral, errant, gratis, open, free, domestic, etc…)

æHouse

As part of this series, in late 2016 a group of venues called “antipodes café House” (or “æHouse“), was started, where typical parts, or function, of a generic house were placed on different encounters of  the city of Oslo and its construction sites, and open to the public as gratuitously driven coffeehouses following specific programs.

Each part of æHouse was temporary, movable and distant from the other ones in time and space. Hence the city became the corridors of this scattered house, where to traverse from venue to venue, from one activity to another.
